More About Western Runner

WesternRunner was formed in 2004 by a runner struggling to find running events in the South West of England – Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Avon and Wiltshire. The commitment was to have a free to access listing of events that anyone could find, use and contribute to, no subscription, sign up needed.

That has since grown to cover the UK split into 8 regions North, Midlands, East, South, South-West, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland.

Who am I, well I am Alistair Gleave a runner since my teens having run widely across the South of England and abroad.

My favourite race has to be the New York Marathon, I was lucky enough to run this in 2003, if you ever get the opportunity – DO IT.
